Yesterday marked the last day of my contract with learning.com. The release went great and the project is a huge success. While I’ll be on retainer for the next couple of months just in case anything crops up, I’m essentially done and ready to move on to the next gig. This calls for a celebration.
By good fortune a friend of mine who I haven’t’ seen in over 14 years just happens to be in Seattle this weekend on a business trip. We were housemates during my first year in college. After graduating Mark moved to Germany to take a position with the SAS Institute. We pretty much lost contact from that point until FaceBook came along and reconnected us last year.
This weekend Meaghan and I are heading up to Seattle. Tonight we’re joining Mark and a work friend of his for dinner at Ipanema, one of our favorite places to eat there. If you are ever in Seattle I highly recommend reservations for their Rodizio service. We’re going to stay through Sunday and make a short vacation of it. A nice way to catch up with an old friend while also taking a short celebration after finishing the learning.com project. I’m taking my camera with me so photos should follow shortly.
