We spent our Saturday touring the market and then walking around and shopping in downtown Seattle. The weather was great and we decided to take it easy, enjoy the sights and sounds of the city, and pick up a few souvenirs. The pike place market is always great to see, especially on a spring weekend.
We ate dinner at the Taphouse Grill, which had more beers on tap than any other place I think I’ve ever seen. I ordered their ribs special and was amazed to see two full half racks of ribs show up on a huge bed of fries. Needless to say that leftovers were on the menu for Sunday. 🙂
On Sunday morning we got up bright and early and decided to hit the road while the weather was good. We stopped off at Olympia on the way home to check out the Washington State Capital Building. Fortunately because it was a Sunday it wasn’t very busy and we were able to get some great pictures. It was also a nice way to break up the drive home.
The traffic was pretty light (probably because it was a Sunday morning!), and we were blessed with great weather and a short drive home.
It was great to see Mark on Friday and to have a day together in Seattle to just relax and unwind.
