If you’re anything like me then a regular part of your email maintenance time is spent deleting newsletters from various websites you’ve joined over the years. Perhaps you signed up intentionally thinking you might find a weekly digest of their content interesting. More likely you joined to use their services and didn’t realize you’d be automatically enrolled in their weekly spam offering.
In the back of my mind I’m always thinking “You should really go through and unsubscribe from all of this junk” but at the time I always seem to be busy and just delete the newsletters to get them out of my inbox, figuring I’ll solve the bigger problem later.
Today I finally went through and unsubscribed from a whole list of newsletters that have been arriving for about a year without ever being read. Hopefully that will help to reduce the amount of clutter in my inbox and allow me more time to focus on the genuine messages from my friends.
