Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, and James Otto

Last night Meaghan and I saw an absolutely awesome concert at the Clark County Amphitheater. Toby Keith was joined by Trace Adkins on his American Ride tour, and James Otto opened the show. You can see photographs from the show at the ticketmaster website.

The show was excellent, and the venue surprisingly well organized. We’ve been the to amphitheater before, but this time it just felt like they had their stuff together a little more. There weren’t any lines for bathrooms or beer, the show started on time, and the parking was easy. We only spent about 20 minutes getting back on the freeway to get home, and despite hitting some roadwork on the way up to the concert the night went off without a hitch.

I’d definitely see all three of these guys in concert again. Trace put on a heck of a show, from his jumbo-screen entrance to the fast-paced set list that just contained hit song after hit song. We only waited about 15 minutes between acts which helped to keep the whole night moving. Toby came on stage in the back of a pickup truck. The truck was reversed onto the stage from behind a curtain with two cowboy boots sticking up over the tailgate. Very memorable entrance to a fantastic set list and a great night.
